UzmaYousaf Become First Pakistani Women To Climb Spantik Peak

This is the harsh reality, Pakistani government doesn’t support to extracurricular activities. Besides this, Pakistan has no absence of talent.

UzmaYousaf belongs from the Peshawar, became the first Pakistani women to climb Spantik Peak i.e. 7,207-metre high on Wednesday.

It was a really honored moment for Pakistan as the country girl reached the height of ‘Golden Peak’ and raise the name of the nation in mountaineering.

First Pakistani women to climb Spantik Peak:

  • Uzma reached at the peak of a mountain with her team including WajidUllahNagri, AsgharHussain, and Yaseen. The Spantik Peak remains popular for the climbers and also known as Golden Peak.

She announced that ‘She had reached the peak of the mountain on Wednesday at 9.16 a.m. I am really happy at the great achievement.

She added that ‘The people of Pakistan making arrangements to celebrate the Independence Day on 14th August and I am feeling proud to carry a Pakistan’s flag at the top of Spantik mountain.

  • The Spantik Mountain is popular among the climber as it was the sub range of the famous Karakoram Range in the north of the Pakistan.
  • Uzma was really happy and excited for her achievement as she became the first Pakistani women and carried the Pakistan’s flag on the top of the mountain. The moment of joy is that she was raising the flag in the month of August.

Uzma suffered a variety of hardships to achieve the goal:

  • Uzma added that it was not an easy journey, she had to face a lot of hardships during the way to the peak and snow was the major interruption in their path. But I and my team remain motivated towards the goal and reached the destination.

Uzma husband added that ‘She was a really talented lady and worked hard to meet her dreams. Though she was not trained like other mountaineers her hard work has been paid back.

  • She had also made the record of climbing 5,098-meter height and was the first lady to do this in the winter season.

Uzma’s family and husband were happy as she became first Pakistani women to climb Spantik Peak.
