For The First Time In History, Saudi Arabia Allows Women To Drive!

Saudi Arabia Allows Women To Drive! On Tuesday, Saudi King Salman has allowed women to drive from next June. What a historic decision made by King Salman! The ultra conservative kingdom is the last country in the world to permit women behind the wheel!

On Tuesday night, King Salman has ordered the reform in a royal decree, requesting to issue drivers’ licenses to the women who wanted them.

The new Saudi Ambassador Khalid Bin Salman bin Abdulaziz made the decision for the women’s right. Following the decree, women will no longer need permission from the legal guardian to drive the car. They don’t need a guardian when driving the car, the new decree stated.

Saudi Arabia allows women to drive, praised by everyone:

  • The royal decree ordered to provide advice within 30 days over the decision. This rule will become eligible in the nation by June 2018.
  • Saudi Arabia already faces different critics from the world for banning the female driving in the country. This is the fact that shows that Saudi is the nation that blocks the women from public life.
  • Saudi made the decision for the women but it must remain in the standards of the nation. They are applying the rule as a majority of scholars approved its permissibility.

An hour later after the announcement of the decision, the media reported stated as a historic and big day of a kingdom. President Donald Trump added that a great step in the right direction.

The White House statement is t his is the positive step towards promoting rights of the women. This step will create opportunities for the women and we will continue to support Saudi Arabia.

Moreover, she posted on twitter, “The rain begins with a single drop.”

Today, she added a statement, “one of the most draconian laws in modern history has ended now.” She also said that she will still continue her work for Women’s rights activists and will also continue campaigning against male guardianship imposed on them.
