PCB recall players: No more overseas cricket for Pakistani players

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a letter to the players to report at National Cricket Academy as the country owing to their national and domestic commitments.

The PCB recall players of Pakistani team in which 10 are centrally contracted and 3 of them not contracted. The PCB revoked the No-Objection Certificates (NOC) to the players.

The PCB wants these players to report on 22 August of this year for their fitness and medical tests under the head coach Mickey Arthur’s supervision.

Players are centrally contracted:

  • The PCB passed this letter to 13 players and 10 of them are playing in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) while three of them are playing in the English county.
  • The PCB later give permission to the centrally contracted players to play in the Caribbean Premier League but PCB recall players that were selected for domestic team.
  • These three players including SohailTanveer, Kamran Akmal, and Mohammad Sami as they were selected for Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore team.

PCB has fixed the issue of World XI:

  • PCB has given the permission to the players but they need to return the country due to the change of World XI’s tour of Pakistan. PCB has fixed the issue of the World’s team as they have shifted the dates to the earlier of September due to the issue of election in NA-120.
  • There is an election and Kulsoom Nawaz was nominated for the seat after the disqualification of Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from the Supreme Court.
  • Pakistan’s National Domestic will end on the 10th September and there is window available for the World XI and there is possibility match sits between 10 – 17 Septembers.
  • The PCB is waiting for the final approval from the chief minister towards the final date as they have to make security clearance for the top players of the cricket.
