Pakistan Introduced Digital Birth Registration Cell

Technology is growing rapidly and impressive demand of technology at different sectors making the life of people pretty simple.

This time local government and community development is working with the collaboration of UNICEF, telecommunication company Telenor and launching the digital birth registration cell (DBR).

The DBR is most needed technology for Pakistan and aims to achieve universal birth registration where live data flow of birth registration is available with technology.

Digital Birth Registration Cell is needed for the region:

The birth growth cells are needed for the country as the UNICEF Representative for Pakistan, Angela Kearney said:

‘It is the right of every child to get registered with their birth and birth registration certificate is regarded by the UNICEF as a passport for all children across the globe’

The birth registration service is already available in two vast districts of Pakistan including Pakpattan and Bahawalpur with a just need of advanced mobile phone.

  • The event was occurred held at Lahore on Thursday and discuss towards the establishment of birth registration cell in Pakistan.
  • The secretary Local government ShahidNasir Raja and UNICEF representative Angela formally launched the highly equipped cells.
  • They showed the technology and live data flows of birth registration applications for children in Pakpattan and Bahawalpur districts.
  • The project was really impressive for the people of Pakistan and held with the help of mobile phone.
  • Speaking at the event, Angela added that ‘we appreciate the efforts of Punjab government towards implementing an advanced system of birth rate and a development priority, particularly for those who left behind and excluded.
  • She also appreciated the efforts of Telenor network to help the project to achieve their goals.

Punjab Government is motivated:

  • The government of Punjab is motivated towards the project and support digital birth registration cell for child aged 17 years and increase their service in different districts.
  • The government wants to provide easy facility to every citizen of a nation.

The Punjab government has a target to expand the project to 8 other districts that show lowest birth rate in 2018.
