Pakistan Beats India In Tree Planting World Record

Pakistan has set a world record by planting more than half million trees in one day and made their name as the environment-friendly country.

A team of volunteers planted 541,176 trees in just one day in the southern province of Sindh on 15th July confirmed by the Guinness World Records.

There were 300 volunteers working in groups planted the mangroves in the 750 acres of Indus River Delta where the International Union for Conservation of Nature were also at the spot.

The volunteers added the mangroves that grow in the delta regions where the fresh water of the river mix with the sea water.

Pakistan beat India in a world record:

The volunteers of Pakistan were pretty fast in planting the trees as they beat the previous record set by India just last month of planting 447,874 saplings in Assam state but Pakistanis remain able to plant more than half million trees in one day.

The volunteers work in the form of groups where the expert panel was also monitoring the planting process to ensure that groups should meet the standards set by the Guinness World Record.

Mr. Adil Ahmad was the representative of Guinness World Record added that ‘I am here to ensure that no old plants were included in the count’.

The Pakistani environment minister was also available on the spot added that the event was the amazing and being held to observe the national year of Pakistan, he also added that government has reserved one billion rupees for nature to protect these plants and survive them‘.

The head of WWF Pakistan added that the event should display the great partnership between government and local communities and they recognize the volunteers as the asset of the nation and significant personal contribution to the development of the natural world.
