Interior Ministry Ban Protocol For VIPs At Airport

The best step towards the progress of Pakistan is to ban protocol for VIP. The interior ministry has passed a letter to all the regions of Pakistan to ban protocol for VIPs at an airport.

The letter showed that VIP should treat same as other people of Pakistan and follow the same bus for the arrival. The FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) never provide the protocol to the VIP.

The ministry warned the FIA agents that if any of them will provide protocol will meet the strict actions and sent this letter to all zones of the agency.

AhsanIqbal treated without protocol:

  • The implementation of this letter was shown when Interior Minister AhsanIqbal needs to travel from Islamabad to Lahore.
  • No protocol provided to the minister when he was at an airport. He traveled in the same passenger van along with the other passengers and a complete image towards ban protocol for VIPs at airport.
  • He entered the arrival zone alone without any FIA, customs and Police staff for receiving him and later walked into the lounge like other people, hopped in a car and headed home.

The letter clearly states that the immigration staff of the airport would be treated. If they found that FIA agent was providing special treatment to the VIP then agent and staff in charge would suspend immediately from their post.

It has directed that staff-in charge will provide the CCTV camera video of the staff members. If any agent violates the letter will point out and should face strict actions.

The ministry also added that immigrants should need to facilitate the people of Pakistan instead of harassing them in any case. They should work with the collaboration of CAA and take proper steps to represent the good image of Pakistan at an airport.

Earlier, the government found that agents are providing a protocol to the relatives, bureaucrats and other important government functionaries and this is the reason government ban protocol for VIPs.
