German Journalist Tweet: Imran Khan Dodged Taxes Via Offshore Firm

PTI recently hold the large rally and celebrate their victory when Supreme Court fired the PML-N from his seat and ordered to give resign immediately.

Panama Papers has brought the secrets of many people of Pakistan but this time German Journalists who unearthed the Panama Papers added that PTI leader Imran Khan also avoid the paying taxes to the UK using an offshore firm.

The German Journalist tweet, who was the part of uncovering Panama Papers with the team has pointed out Imran Khan. His tweet words are:

This tweet was come just after the Supreme Court decision and ordered the Sharif family to resign immediately for hiding their offshore assets in his nomination for 2013 general elections.

The German journalist tweet mentions the ‘Niazi’ company in his tweet and the matter of disqualification of Imran Khan and party leaders is an ongoing case in Supreme Court.

The SC is hearing the matter of party leader Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen for not disclosing their offshore assets and receipt of foreign funding for the party.

PTI chief informed the apex court:

  • The PTI chief aware the court that Imran Khan had started earning abroad when he started playing cricket during undergraduate degree at England.
  • Later, he was selected for Pakistan cricket team and stats show that Imran Khan had paid all the taxes from his income. He also played other international cricket events between 1977 and 1988 as he was non-resident, the Pakistan income law did not apply to him.

Imran submitted that he also played in Australia between 1984 and 1985 earning Australian $50,000. He had mortgaged a one bedroom apartment in London in the name of Niazi Services Limited.
